Es gibt so viele Spannendes zu entdecken, wenn wir Fragen dazu erforschen, wie soziales Miteinander unser Verhalten und Erleben beeinflusst, dass ich mich immer wieder für meine Arbeit im Bereich Soziale Kognition und Klinische Neurowissenschaft begeistern kann. Als experimentell arbeitende Psychologin, Neurowissenschaftlerin und Psychotherapeutin (KVT) interessiert mich sowohl das Verstehen der bio-psycho-umweltbedingten Mechanismen von sozialer Informationsverarbeitung, als auch die Entwicklung von Behandlungsoptionen, um Beeinträchtigungen in diesen Bereichen zu adressieren. Viele der Instrumente, die wir in der Arbeitsgruppe entwickelt haben, sind technologie-basiert mit Elementen aus den Bereichen Affective Computing oder Social Robotics. Ein besonderes Interesse und Expertise von mir liegt im Bereich Autismus. Das meiste, was ich über Autismus weiß, habe ich von autistischen Menschen selber gelernt, wie z.B. im Kontext der Arbeite in der AutismusForschungs-Kooperation.

Neben der Arbeit liebe ich es, Zeit mit meiner Familie und unserem Hund im Wald zu verbringen und ich bin ein großer Fan von Yoga, Kochen mit Freunden und dem Reisen in ferne Länder.
