Josephine Jörke
PhD CandidateMy research interests lie in the potential benefits and effects of altered states of consciousness for psychotherapy (e.g., breathwork-augmented psychotherapy). In addition, I am interested in the visual processing of emotional and personally relevant faces within the framework of predictive processing in human cognition (e.g., in individuals on the autism spectrum), as well as in the evaluation of psychotherapeutic interventions (e.g., manualized cognitive behavioral therapy for autism). In this context, it is particularly important to me to actively involve patients and their relatives in the research process (i.e., patient and public involvement). In my work, I employ various neuroscientific imaging techniques, including EEG, fMRI, and simultaneous EEG-fMRI. I am also a member of the German Center for Mental Health (DZPG).
In my free time, I enjoy playing the violin in an orchestra and spending time with my friends and family.
